Tour of CFS Tokamak Hall

Community members are invited to a tour and a talk on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 about SPARC, the world’s first commercially relevant fusion energy machine being constructed at our campus in Devens.

Learn how SPARC will work from our Director of Tokamak Operations, Alex Creely. Alex is a scientist and engineer on a quest for clean energy who joined CFS in 2019 as employee lucky number 13. Alex has worked on fusion projects around the world and will share his knowledge, experience, and optimism about a future in which the world runs on clean energy.

After the talk will be a meet & greet with Alex and other CFS team members as well as tours of Tokamak Hall where SPARC is currently under construction. We hope you can join us at our Commonwealth Fusion Systems headquarters at 117 Hospital Road, Devens, MA. Please note that this event is limited in space and to attendees who are 18 and older.

For registered guests, our doors will open at 4:45 p.m. with the talk beginning soon after and the event concluding at 6:30 PM.

NOTE: Registration is closed.

Please note: SPARC facility tours are conducted at a very active construction site. For your safety, guests may not be allowed to tour if they are not properly dressed.

Long Pants are required. Dresses or shorts are not allowed on the construction site.

Closed toe and hard-soled shoes are also required. NO SNEAKERS. NO TENNIS SHOES. NO SANDALS. NO HIGH-HEELS. Proper footwear is very important on the site. CFS will provide a hard hat, high visibility safety vest, and eye protection.

Capacity is limited and is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Meet Devens Clean-Tech Innovators at Community Event in June

Community members are invited to learn about Devens’ growing clean-tech cluster at a special event on Tuesday, June 25. Hear from Devens businesses recently named to Time Magazine’s 2024 Top 100 Green-Tech Companies and from King Street Properties, a developer at the center of this growth. We hope you can join us for a reception with team members from Electric Hydrogen and Commonwealth Fusion Systems followed by a panel discussion on the Devens ecosystem with Scott Jansen, Vice President of Manufacturing at Electric Hydrogen, Tyson Reynoso, Managing Director & Partner at King Street Properties, and Jessica Strunkin, Principal for Community Relations and Local Government Affairs at Commonwealth Fusion Systems.

From SpaceX to CFS: Meet & Greet with VP of Production, Darby Dunn

Community members are invited to hear from our Vice President of Production, Darby Dunn, on her journey from SpaceX to CFS, where she spent a decade developing and manufacturing the Dragon spacecraft to deliver cargo and astronauts to the International Space Station.
